Liz Lira is known as "The Rose of Salsa," having conquered the salsa world starting with her first World Championship in 2002. Since then, she has won six World Championships and seven US Championships (including the 2009 ESPN World Salsa Championships, making her the current World Champion), in addition to numerous smaller competitions. Ms. Lira continues to be a dominant force in the world salsa community.
